Ms. Diva, as Quadson will call her sometimes now, gives one of her puppy dog looks.
Leslie attended her first fireworks display at a family festival in neighboring Roswell, GA over the Labor Day weekend. It was a very big and long display for a small town. Leslie studied each presentation very intensely. Quadson was hiding under the bleachers. He never has cared for fireworks.
Wow! We have had our season passes for almost a year to Atlanta's new Georgia Aquarium, the 1st or 2nd largest in the world, and have gone a good 6 or 7 times. On our most recent visit, we had no idea of the lesson we would get in whale sex education. A huge tank of 3 beluga whales (one male, two females ) is always a big draw to hundreds of spectators at a time, who watch the graceful creatures as new age music is playing. The whole site will put you in trance. Well, on this visit, we were shocked and totally red-faced with ALL the other spectators, to witness whale foreplay and human-like anatomy on both male and female that appeared out of no where. Who knew they had that equipment!! Quadson has not forgotten it yet and we had an interesting talk on the 30 minute ride home. THANKS GEORGIA AQUARIUM!!
An outing at the neighborhood park.
We finally made it to a Chuck E. Cheese.
Although Atlanta has the ever popular White Water water park, we were delighted to have found this small, quiet little water park retreat of sorts, out our way. It is just a gargantuan pool surrounded by sand, with all kinds of activities in the pool for all ages.
Took a minute for Quadson to warm up to all the pool action, but the above picture shows that he got over himself.
The kids try to help Daddy show off his flowers.
That's the way to get into character!!!
