Quadson began playing on the Homeschool Soccer Team. We love this league, because we will be able to continue to have a life. It occurs the next 8 Thursdays from 1-2pm and it's over. No weekends, no super-duper championships that have us all over Georgia like the boy is trying to go pro. He had a ball learning some basics and will probably delve into the team aspect next week. We can already tell he has skills. He is so athletically inclined, which is amazing, since neither of his parents are sports people. 800 homeschooled kids in our area signed up and a good 500 of them were on 6 different fields, starting with 3 year olds, then a big group of Quadson's 4 year olds, all the way up to 12 year olds. The parking lot looked like a mini-van tailgate parade.
The grandparents and great-grand came out to support. Monique was still out of work on Spring Break, and with the exception of maybe the last game, she will miss his other soccer days. Leslie and I will represent for the Smith family.
Quadson's first day of soccer was also Leslie's official 2 year old birthday. After the practice was done at 2, Leslie was exactly 2 years old, having been birthed at 2:15 pm. She is such a little lady.
